While watching today's race I realised that there's been a bit of shift in my allegiances this year.

Last year I was cheering on:
• McLaren (mostly Jenson but Lewis as well to start with)
• Team Lotus (more Heiki than Jarno, but it was the team I mainly supported)
• Webber & Massa (Despite severe dislike for Red Bull and Ferrari)
• Alguersuari & Kobayashi (Despite indifference to Torro Rosso & Sauber)

This year it's all been simplified a bit. I don't support Team Lotus anymore (the whole not sticking to their guns leading up to a name change put me off.) Alguersuari has gone, Webber and Massa seem so unlikely to do anything special and I've not really paid attention to Kobayashi since midway through last season, which just leaves me with McLaren.

I think laurajo will be impressed! (almost.)

Real life update later today.

My utterly amazing engagement ring finally arrived today and we just got home from picking it up.

It was horrible waiting for it for so long but in the end we couldn't bring ourselves to make a fuss when we were both so happy it was here. Just didn't want to ruin the moment!

2011 was the best year of my life and I hope 2012 is going to be even better.

Resolutions:

1. Save money for wedding. (I have until Nov 2013 for this!)
2. Loose weight for wedding. (size 12 and my stepdad will buy me my dress)
3. See more of my friends.
4. Actually get around to moving to Hythe.

My wonderful, wonderful Chris has asked me to marry him.

I think I forgot to mention that the operation on my thumb was going to be done.

Anyway, operation was last Monday and I'm now enjoying 4 weeks off work to recover. It seems to be healing well but the feel of the stitches are freaking me out a bit! Probably because I can feel them more when I move my hand this time than I could after the carpal tunnel surgery.

The surgery itself is a complete blur as I was given a sedative, very bizarre experience!

I'm at the point now where I can type for about 10 minutes at a time before the discomfort gets too much but I'm completely unable to use a mouse, hence the being off work bit.

I'm using the time off to see people, Christmas shopping and also catch up on my shows as I am quite behind!

There are some really good new shows this year to so my list of shows that I watch has grown a lot more that it has before. So far I've picked up Once Upon A Time, New Girl, Unforgettable (although Poppy Montgomery's hair annoys me), Revenge, Subugatory, Up All Night, The Secret Circle & Hart Of Dixie.

Still to try Ringer, Grimm, Person Of Interest, Boss and Homeland.

I'm also still giving A Gifted Man and Terra Nova a go but neither has really grabbed me but Chris likes Terra Nova especially so we're sticking with it.

So that's about all that's going on with me. :)
